I have done some research and am pretty excited about what it might be worth. Ok so first off Im not great with electric guitars. cleaned and polished the neck and body, cleaned t The top of the guitar is AWESOME clean, as is the back. The back of the neck is perfectly SMOOOOOTH. There is some minor finish checking on the lower horn. It has some very light dings around the headstock, one tiny ding on the neck, some very very light handling blems on the body.

It looks more like a new guitar than a 28 year old. a return to the quality of the 1950's and 1960's that made Fender famous.

These E series guitars were the NEW Fender owner's example of what was to come. Although American strats from any era tend to fetch higher prices, many players then and today believe these MIJ strats to be better built than the previous CBS guitars. From February 1985 to October 1985 all production was in Japan. There was a period of time after CBS sold Fender, when there were no American Fenders being made. I have two of these Japanese strats that I play regularly and prefer them over all other guitars made.

Serial Number E7986xx makes it a 1984-87 from the FujiGen factory. This 1960's reissue Strat was made in Japan. Seller added the following information: UPDATE: Good news! But daycare is killing me and Christmas has left me virtually penny less! The local m usic store said that this the earlier Japanese mode ls like this have better quality. I would love to hold onto this guitar because of what it is. I have two small sons and I work 60 hours a week trying to make ends meet. This is a 70s reissue with the natural body and large headstock! VERY NICE CONDITION.SEE PICTURES! This guitar has been babied since I have had it. According to the serial number it appears it was made in 1985-86 in the Fuji-gen factory. It has a very versatile sound with a classic look. Vintage! Retro! 1985! Fuji-gen Factory! This is one of my favorite guitar I currently own.
